Canva

Canva is a design tool that can enable the ASU marketing communications community to efficiently produce branded creative, increase speed and easily create and share work through templates and helpful toolkits.

Units are encouraged to create their own Canva Teams or Canva Pro account. A Canva Teams account provides the most accessible entry option for small- to medium-sized teams, while a Canva Pro account is structured for individual use and may be the best option for an individual designer within a small unit or department. Both options allow the user access to the ASU Brand toolkit. Units can also share their own templates and create designs using the preapproved ASU Canva templates.

Please note that there are limitations to what we can produce in Canva.

Canva cannot be used to create the following:

  • Logos
  • Design marks
  • Trade names
  • Business names
  • Service marks
  • asu.edu hero images
  • Billboards

The ASU instance of Canva should not be used for personal purposes.

Due to our contract with Adobe, we cannot use Neue Haas Grotesk in the Canva tool. However, the Akzidenz Grotesk font is available through the Canva license. Arial and Akzidenz Grotesk will be available in Canva for ASU units to use.
