ASU introduces ASU for You to keep learning on track

The spread of COVID-19 may necessitate changes in the way we learn, but it does not change our desire to continue learning or the importance of doing so. We know as precautions are taken to ensure the safety of our communities, we must find new methods to keep learning on track for everyone at every level. That’s why Arizona State University has accelerated plans to provide learning tools and materials to keep all learners on track by launching ASU for You. We have gathered some of our most valuable learning tools in one place to meet learners where they are, both in terms of physical location and educational needs.

Please share President Crow’s FacebookLinkedIn and Twitter messages about ASU for You to help reach members of the greater community.

If your unit has a learning resource that the ASU community can utilize, please submit this request form.

A message from the Print and Imaging Lab director

During these unprecedented and challenging times, I wanted to take a moment to reassure you that the Print and Imaging Lab is taking all necessary steps to ensure production can continue, and our employees remain healthy. We can support you at home or at the university campuses. Your support helps us provide opportunities for students to work during this difficult time.

We are working closely with Mail Services/FedEx to support other labs and functions on and off campus. ASU Courier Services is available to deliver to all campus locations, and if you need something delivered directly to a home or off-site address, we can deliver via FedEx directly to your location.

Our ASU Print Online development team is using this time to add new templates and additional functionality to our website, as well. If there are any templates or products you would like to see available to order 24/7 through ASU Print Online, please take a moment to share your feedback with us to guide our efforts in the coming weeks!

To ensure that we can operate as safely and seamlessly as possible, our emergency plan has been implemented and follows university guidelines.

Here are some areas that the Print and Imaging Lab can help your units with during this time:

  • Emergency print projects (testing resources, signage, etc.).
  • Design projects.
  • Budgeting and print planning for next fiscal year.
  • 19/20 fiscal year invoice closeouts.
  • Personalized mailers.
  • Custom print templates for easy ordering on ASU Print Online.

Whether you are at home, online or on campus, we are here to support you! Stay safe, stay focused and let’s keep our students working. We thank you for your continued support of the Print Lab — stay happy and healthy. Go Devils!

All Hands and Summer Camps update

All Hands and Summer Camps update

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the All Hands meeting, previously scheduled for April 28. We will keep the community informed on a new date for this important community gathering.

With that being said, at this time we are still planning to host the Communications and Digital Camps in August! We look forward to bringing the ASU marketing and communications community together to network, share ideas, teach and learn.

Are you interested in speaking at this year’s event? The speaker submission deadline has been extended to April 10.

The marketing community is hungry for practical, hands-on workshops that provide new approaches to their work. If you have something impactful to share with your ASU communications peers, please apply to speak. Each proposal will be reviewed by a committee of ASU professionals. Entries focused on in-demand topics, measurable elements or demonstrating a strong application of the brand are preferred.

Speaker qualifications:

  • Experienced or comfortable speaking in front of an audience between 50-100 people.
  • Able to share unique experiences, real-world insights and knowledge in compelling, visual, informative and memorable ways.
  • Excited to promote the event among the ASU marketing community.

Trademark and licensing: how to purchase

Trademark and licensing: how to purchase

ASU Trademark and Licensing is actively working to educate its university partners on the internal buying process of products with ASU marks, names or logos. ASU claims ownership of numerous designs, insignias, logos, names, seals, slogans, sounds, words and any symbols associated with ASU. These are trademarks and are the exclusive property of the Arizona Board of Regents for and on behalf of Arizona State University.

Below are some quick tips on purchasing items for your units:

  1. Items bearing any university mark, name or logo should only be produced by licensed vendors.
  2. If you have a favorite vendor that you would like to get licensed, please have them start with a CLC application.
  3. If you want more information about the why, who or how of trademark licensing, please see our website.
  4. Using the approved vendor list (Sunmart) is not the same as using the approved licensee list. When ordering products with an ASU mark, name or logo (for internal or external use) please refer to the approved licensee list.
  5. Rules for use of marks by each facet of ASU are very different: Athletics, marketing, retail, departments and student clubs each have their own set of rules and standards regarding use. Please ask us! We are happy to help.
  6. Rules vary on a product by product basis: Apparel and promotional items are different than signage, websites and other products.
