Return to a healthy campus campaign

As the university plans to resume in-person classes on Aug. 20, 2020, a task force has been established for coordinating the return to campus efforts. Part of those efforts involve the development and deployment of universitywide signage to reflect current public health guidance. Units should not post any additional signage. Facilities Management has been tasked with deploying the approved signage to all buildings on all campuses.

Due to the coordinated efforts of the task force, units are not to create, order or post their own health guidance signage. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Social distancing floor graphics.
  • Health guidance posters.
  • Occupancy limit clings or posters.
  • Digital signage.
  • Digital content for social channels.
  • A-frame poster inserts.

No action is required on behalf of units unless unique signage is needed. A work order, describing your unique signage needs, should be submitted and Facilities Management will review the request. Installing additional signage is up to the discretion of Facilities Management as the goal of this campaign is to create a unified experience across the campus for all of our community. Please reach out to FACMAN@asu.edu to submit your request.

All signage installations are managed through Facilities Management and must be part of the approved creative. ASU will continue to proactively communicate any changes that may affect campus life. Those changes will also be reflected on signage as those guidelines are released. Facilities Management is prioritizing installations as directed by university leadership, but will have all signage installed by Aug. 1, 2020. Working together, our actions will help keep our community healthier and stronger.

Summer Camps update

As you know, the university is focused on preparations for safely returning students, faculty and staff to campus. After considering the community feedback and consulting with leadership, we have decided the timing is not right for Summer Camps to be held this August. Understanding the attention needed by each of you to ensure this transition back to campus, we felt a multiday gathering — even virtually — was unfair to expect of the community at this time. Despite this news, we remain committed to sharing content, updates and releases with the community.

In the meantime, past Summer Camps and Marketing Academies can be accessed on Career EDGE. There you can find content and training on UX, Marketing Cloud, web design and project management presented by members of the ASU community. Added bonus: When you complete a video, it will be recorded on your Career EDGE transcript.

Print and Imaging Lab: Welcome back

As we navigate our return to campus, we can do this together. The Print and Imaging Lab has been working hard to prepare all of the return-to-campus materials needed for your building. We are here to help you and your team with any of your print needs. Our print services are open to the ASU community and beyond! Here are a few possible projects or ways that the Print Lab can help you during this time:

With the transition to virtual events in recent months, the need to create and share up-to-date event information remains as important as ever. To better support this need, information on the ASU Events platform has a new page in the brand guide.

The updated page includes information and helpful links to use the platform, including:

  • The new #asu-events-community Slack channel — a place to get updated announcements, ask questions and get community support for use of the events management platform.
  • How to request being added to the platform.
  • A step-by-step event setup guide, including tips for online events.
  • Notes on platform changes and technical support.
  • Additional contact resources for questions and issues.
