Spotlight your best practices at Digital, Comm Camps

What best practice(s) would you share with fellow ASU communicators? Plans are underway for the Hub’s annual Digital and Communications Camps, the ASU marketing event of the summer.

At these two, full-day camps, ASU marketers and communicators gather to share knowledge and expertise on hot topics such as website user experience, measuring social media ROI, written-word best practices and much more. If you’re interested in presenting at the upcoming camps, to be held on July 25 and 26, please submit a presentation proposal.

Historic renaming: Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation

It’s now official: the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation is the new name for the renowned ASU college preparing the next generation of health care professionals. The historic renaming follows a generous gift from Charlene and J. Orin Edson that was shared between the College of Nursing and Health Innovation and the Biodesign Institute in support of the university’s groundbreaking, multidisciplinary research on dementia and to enhance education and training for nurses and caregivers. The new unit logo for the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation is available on the brand guide.

Pitch perfect: ‘Sell’ your story

Don't have the resources to write or shoot a great story? Working on a cool story and want to make sure the ASU Now crew isn't at work on the same topic? Got a nugget of an idea but aren't sure where to go with it? Send an email to, and one of the ASU Now editors will respond.

Include the following in your email:

  • story summaryWhy it is important and why readers would be interested.
  • story source or contact.
  • Timing of your story or event (ASU Now needs lead time!).
  • When you can submit the story and when you’d like to see it appear.
  • Information relative to photos or videos you can provide or may need.

The ASU Now crew cannot take on every story, but your ASU news is important. Use to let ASU Now know about the projects, research, events and successes of your unit, faculty, students, alumni and staff!
